Last spring I bought a motorcycle, Yamaha Virago 535, because I have been dreaming of it for ages. When I was young I never had enough money to buy a bike. And a few years later I became more interested in cars. But now, when I have time and money, I decided to buy a bike.
I thought it would be easy to learn to drive it. But it wasn´t! You change the gears with your left foot and operate the clutch with your left hand, and the smooth coordination with them is very important. I don´t feel safe, when I´m driving the bike, that´s why I am selling it away now.
Last autumn I also bought a car, an old Beetle VW 1303 S/1974. Everything was fine then, but when I tried to start the motor yesterday, nothing happened. I inspected the motor and I´m
pretty sure the problem is in the startmotor or carburettor, there is no current to the startmotor and no fuel comes to the carburettor. A guy who has been specialised in Bugs, is coming tomorrow to have a look at it.
And I also bought a boat last summer. It is an old Coster type sailing boat, originally from year 1948. At that time it was all wood, but later the hull was made of glassfiber and only the deck remained of wood. It looks quite nice to me, but I have never been sailing with it, so I´m a little worried. I am not sure, if I remember how the rig was constructed. The rig had to be dismantled for winter, and now I should reconstruct it again.
